    Tourism Thunder Bay is pleased to announce the Northern Delights Festival will be returning to Thunder Bay for its fifth year. Held bi-annually, Northern Delights is Thunder Bay’s fall and winter culinary festival which was first established in 2015 by local Restauranteurs.

    The Thunder Bay Crime Prevention Council is calling for nominations for the 10th Annual Mayor’s Community Safety Awards, which recognize Thunder Bay residents and groups who are working to make our city safer and more inclusive.

    Nominations are now open, and the deadline for submissions is Oct.

  • MECG Continues Efforts to Limit Spread of COVID-19 in City

    The City’s Municipal Emergency Control Group (MECG) met today with community partners as part of its ongoing management of the COVID-19 situation, and discussed efforts in managing the virus this fall and winter.

    "We are in a different time than we have been in the last few months, and I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone dealing with this on the front lines," said Mayor Bill Mauro.

  • Thunder Bay Road Work Season Continues into Fall

    The City of Thunder Bay is investing $18 million in 2020 on road and sidewalk rehabilitation, residential paving, sanitary and storm sewers, watermain repair/replacement, bridge and culvert work, and streetlight renewal.

    Road work can result in road closures, detours and delays for drivers.

    The Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) is pleased to announce another group of successful entrepreneurs who participated in the Starter Company Plus program. The third round of the 2020 program saw a total of ten small business owners go through the six week program.
